Just a quick last post from me as I have decided to let YVN go.

I have really loved running this community page. It has been great engaging with the community and providing a page that kept locals informed about things going on in the area.

I always tried to keep the page as positive as possible even during the long lockdowns that we all had to endure.

Unfortunately Covid and the introduction of the vaccine passport has created a massive divide in the community and in our country, which has made it much harder to run this page.

I never thought I would see this type of open discrimination in this country, but I guess this period of times has shown me how it has happened in the past.

Trying to live in a community that locks you out of many places sure creates some challenges, but as humans we learn to adapt and find a new way and that's what my family and I are trying to do.

I don't see anything changing anytime soon given the stance our governments are taking.

This recent outbreak has highlighted that none of us are immune to catching and spreading this virus, but I am not going to argue with you about vaccines and the numbers.

The saddest thing for me has been the division between people. There is a great deal of healing required to try and heal the damage done to peoples relationships over this issue, but that is going to take some time.

36 COVID deaths were reported in NSW today and 33 of the people that passed away were DOUBLE VACCINATED. Please stop believing that this is a pandemic of the unvaccinated when it clearly is not.

Thank you Noelene for all you have done. There will always be those who ‘know better’ or cannot accept another’s point of view. I too, am disillusioned at what we have become. I used to believe that Australians stood together in times of conflict, but this pandemic has proven otherwise. It’s one way or you are outcast. The joy that others took in this segregation was quite frankly disgusting and made me ashamed of my countrymen. I wish you the best of everything, today and always. Blessings.

I hear you YVN. I’m stunned at what’s happened and it seems we are in the dark ages still with a witch hunt culture, just with technology thrown in. If something was 100% I may agree but with risk there should ALWAYS be choice and ‘should’ be respected as a given, either way. Thank you for putting yourself out there mate. ❤️

It's a shame you've decided to end the page, was a great little page to keep us all connected. Thank you for all your work. Only wish everyone else in the community had the same vision and I wouldn't be typing this right now. Stay strong hold the line!

I'm sorry to hear this 😔 It's a sad state our country is in and to feel there is no space to have your voice heard is wrong. Your page has been an assest to the community, the fact that you have been shamed for your thoughts is disturbing. Vaxxed or not vaxxed, liberal or labour voter, all for lockdowns or not PEOPLE need to remember kindness, remember everyone should be entitled to their opinion without judgement and be excepting of one another!! So many of us will miss your updates, info and insight into our local community. You are not alone, stay strong and never doubt your intuition. Thank you and I wish you peace and harmony ❤

That’s really sad that this great (awful) divide going on has been the demise of this page. The world really needs people like you to share their perspective in these times. You have been awesome! I truly hope the “Divide and conquer “ that is happening can cease. It’s been a part of history for thousands of years….. and only serves the greedy. People need to unite together! The proof is in the pudding right now,,, the so called vaccination is serving no one. And the risks certainly don’t out weight the outcome, that’s evidence enough! I’m actually hoping you rethink and continue to share your wisdom, but I totally understand how challenging that is. Much love to you and yours. 💜

Yes. It’s so sad. But this division is worldwide. People need to be kind. It just breaks my heart how people. Fellow Australians can be so cruel, and mean. I feel so sorry for businesses that are trying to keep going and are abused daily. It’s a sad world we live in at the moment.

Wandin Fire Brigade snd Seville Rural Fire Brigade (CFA) attended to an out of control burn off today.

Thankfully the crews managed to get the fire under control, but it had spread 40m into the paddock before the fire was extinguished.

I think it would be helpful if we stopped calling it ‘A Pandemic of the Unvaccinated’.

It’s not justified to lock the unvaccinated out of places if the vaccinated are catching and spreading it in places that only the vaccinated are allowed to go.

I like the last paragraph that says “I call on high level officials and scientists to stop the inappropriately stigmatisation of the unvaccinated people, who include our patients, colleagues and other fellow citizens and to bring extra effort into bringing society together”.
